Suitable for use over hydronic tubes or electric cables, GYP-SPANŽ Radiant delivers long-lasting durability with compressive strengths between 2000 and 3200 psi. Unlike lightweight concrete, the formulation of this poured gypsum concrete does not shrink or crack when it dries and locks radiant heat tubes in place during construction. GYP-SPANŽ Radiant offers numerous system benefits including superior fire resistance properties, with more than 83 UL floor/ceiling assemblies. The underlayment can also be installed over various subfloors such as plywood, OSB, concrete and cast-in-place concrete. When properly installed by a Hacker Industries, Inc. Licensed Applicator, GYP-SPANŽ Radiant can be covered by virtually any finished floor covering.
