New Hacker Sound Mat II Delivers High-Quality Sound Control
and Long-Standing Performance
NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. - February 2, 2004 - New Hacker Sound Mat II from Hacker Industries, Inc. is designed to control sound transmission in multi-family projects, commercial buildings and custom homes.
Hacker Sound Mat II, a dimpled, resilient sound mat composed of 100 percent recycled rubber, provides a quieter environment by significantly increasing STC and IIC ratings. When used in conjunction with a Hacker Floor Underlayment, it is an integral component of a highly effective sound reduction system. It is efficient under all types of floor coverings including ceramic tile, hardwood, stone, laminate and vinyl.
Hacker Sound Mat II is available in various system thicknesses. For application, an isolation perimeter is installed throughout the perimeter of the rooms to reduce the flanking paths. Hacker Sound Mat II is rolled onto a smooth surface. The seams of the sound mat are then sealed with an approved tape. A Licensed Applicator of Hacker Industries, Inc. then pours a minimum of 1-inch of a Hacker Floor Underlayment on top of the mat. The surface is then screeded to a flat, smooth surface ready for finished floor coverings.
