Villa Lago Placido won "Judge's Choice Best in Show" during Reno, Nevada's Parade of Homes thanks in part to Gyp-Floor,Inc., a Licensed Applicator of Hacker Industries, Inc.

The General Contractor wanted to roll out a warm welcome when judges walked through to score the custom home and decided to install a radiant heat system throughout the house.

In order to create an energy-efficient flooring system, Gyp-Floor, Inc. poured GYP-SPAN^® Radiant floor underlayment over the radiant tubes resulting in a high strength, even thermal mass ready for finished floor coverings. The crew of Gyp-Floor, Inc. surpassed the contractor's expectations, installing approximately 6,500 square feet of GYP-SPAN^® Radiant at a thickness of 1-1/2 inches in just one day.

"Since we were on tight schedule to complete the Showcase Home before the parade, the quick-setting time of GYP-SPAN^® Radiant proved invaluable to keep the construction on schedule," said Walter Baker. "The underlayment could be walked on in 90-minutes and ready for the next trade the following day."

GYP-SPAN^®Radiant added a level of luxury and warmth to the 2-story, 6,800-square foot home by gently radiating heat where homeowners want it most - at their feet and toes. The General Contractor topped off the smooth, level surface with natural stones and carpeting.
