A building industry veteran, Steve Hasterlik, president of Permafloors, Inc., began his career in construction as a drywall finisher in 1971. The shift from drywall installation to gypsum floor underlayments came when Steve wanted to incorporate the benefits of a radiant heated floor system in his own home.
