GBL Construction partners Bill Schlichtkrull and Leroy James joined forces in 1986, as roofing and home improvement specialists. Their business soon grew into home construction and they successfully worked their way into the luxury million dollar housing market. In 1996, they licensed with Hacker Industries, Inc. to install Hacker Floor Underlayments and by 1999, they had decided to focus their entire business on underlayment installation.
